TLK compensation

Dear patients,

The Vilnius Dental Center (VOC) has entered into agreements with the Regional Health Insurance Funds regarding the provision of dental prosthetics services. This means that the costs of dental prosthetics services are reimbursed from the PSDF budget, based on the actual costs of dental prosthetics, upon full completion of the dental prosthetics procedure.

Starting January 1, 2022, the costs of dental prosthetics services are reimbursed from the PSDF budget to individuals based on the actual costs of dental prosthetics, but not exceeding:

1. for pensioners, disabled, or partially disabled individuals:

• who have fewer than 10 functionally intact, contacting pairs of natural or high-quality prosthetic antagonist teeth from the first molar to the first molar on the opposite side – up to 620.92 EUR;
• who have been diagnosed with pathological wear of all teeth greater than Grade II (more than 1/3 of the tooth crown height) – up to 670.39 EUR;
• whose edentulous lower jaw in the area of teeth 4, 5, and 6 is less than 12 mm in height – up to 2,062.70 EUR (determined by a medical board);

2. for children:

• whose masticatory system is still developing, treated with temporary dentures made from polymers polymerized in a laboratory or dental office, or standard protective metal crowns – up to 342.13 EUR;
• whose masticatory system is essentially fully formed, are fitted with dental prostheses made of long-term structural materials – up to 2,062.70 EUR (as determined by the council);

3. for individuals who have undergone treatment for oncological diseases of the mouth, face, and jaws:

• following specific (radiation and (or) chemotherapy) treatment, there are fewer than 10 functionally intact, contacting pairs of natural or high-quality prosthetic antagonist teeth in the oral cavity from the first molar to the first molar on the opposite side – up to 670.39 EUR;
• oral cavity, facial, and jaw surgery performed with soft tissue removal and/or bone resection in the jaw area – up to 2,062.70 EUR (determined by a medical council).

If the actual costs of dental prosthetics exceeded the established reimbursement amount, the person must pay the remaining portion themselves.

4. Consultations with dental specialists:

Consultations with dental specialists involve a patient visiting a dental specialist with a referral issued by a family doctor, a medical specialist, a dentist, or a dental specialist.

Consultations with dental specialists are provided by the following specialists within their areas of expertise:

• periodontists,
• orthodontists.

Dental procedures performed during a specialist dentist consultation are covered by the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund budget.
